The Chocolate Brownie Recipe

A chocolate brownie recipe thats easy, quick and full of chocolate! What more could you want

Never really been a brownie lover...until now
If you want a super squishy in the middle brownie that is 99% chocolate then here ya go

Ive made this 3 times in the past week and actually starting to believe I have a problem...but its so freakin good

Super easy, doesn't take long and minimal dishes so if you haven't already started getting the ingredients out the cupboard then we just cant be friends anymore

290g caster sugar
90g cocoa powder-I use bournville
2 eggs-whisked and ready to go
150g butter at room temp and cubed
pinch of salt
125g plain flour
150ml pre made thick hot choc-just full fat milk and a few tablespoons of cocoa
80g chop chips for the mix
80g choc chips to sprinkle on the top

Preheat oven to gas mark 4
Pre greaseproof a tray-I use a pop out square cake tin as its so much easier

Pop the cubed butter in a pan and melt down-you could also use the microwave but I find a pan easier
Add the sugar a bit at a time and melt in-turn off the heat as soon as soon as the sugars mixed well
Add the cocoa and mix well
Add the beaten eggs and whisk away until smooth and shiny
Add the hot choc and whisk-don't worry if its a bit runny as you are about to add the flour
Add the flour and beat until smooth
Pour in 80g of choc chips-milk, white or dark or a good mix of them both

Pour the mixture into the tin and sprinkle the choc chips on top

For this image I halved the recipe and used a loaf tin-the more ya make the more ya eat

Pop in the middle of the oven for 25 mins then check-it should have a slight wobble to it, a thin crust around the edges and should have an almost matt surface
If mine isn't ready after 25 I pop it back in and give it 2-3 mins at a time until its ready-any more than that and it will overcook

Depending on your taste you might not like it super squishy in the middle so I would say bake for 30-35 and it will cook it that bit further in the middle but will make the crust thicker at the sides

Wella, perfect brownie

Sadly I got a bit over eager and cut this while it was still too warm, it needed another half hour to be cool and not as squishy in the middle....sadly it also didn't make a difference to my taste buds as I ate it hahahaha
